Technical - Adding facebook badges to Joomla 1.x

Adding a Facebook badge to Joomla allows visitors of you Joomla site to see your facebook status.

Some might find this pointless, especially those that update their sites regually. If your like me and update your Facebook status more than you update your site then this is for you.

This is seriously easy though doing a Google search on the subject brings up ways I personally wouldn't use.

(Click Read More to find out how) So login to Facebook and then visit http://www.facebook.com/home.php#/badges.php

Click on the 'Edit this badge' and edit the badge to suit. Once this is done you will need to Copy the HTML code.

Now login to the admin pages of your Joomla 1.x installation.

Click on Modules then Site Modules

Click on New

Type in a title. Like Facebook Status.

Mambots, select no.

Now in Custom Output insure your editor is in source mode and paste your Facebook badge html source.

Change Position and Module Order to suit.

Add this page to your favorite Social Bookmarking websites
